For the past 25 years, I have been in private practice counseling and coaching adults and adolescents. I work with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues and have experience providing help with the following:

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Trauma and Abuse

  • Parenting Support

  • Adolescent Issues

  • College Transitions

  • Social Skills and Self-Esteem Development

  • Relationships

  • Cultural Issues

  • Grief and Loss

  • Education and Career

  • Stress Management

  • Family and Blended Family

  • Life Transitions

I earned a Bachelor of Arts from Drew University, a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts and a certificate in College Admission Counseling from University of California, Berkeley.

From 2000-2016, I counseled at the Hotchkiss School, a competitive New England boarding high school, where I gained extensive experience in the treatment of depression, anxiety, trauma and loss, along with numerous other adolescent issues. As a result, a sizable portion of the work I have done is to address and diffuse "perfectionism" and its repercussions.

I utilize several approaches in my work, including: Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness strategies, in order to help others manage symptoms, reduce stress and realize preferred values to better guide life choices.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Connecticut. I enjoy collaborating with educational systems and health professionals when supporting clients.
